Is water available on the course?
YES, the Organization places at the disposal of the athletes of the Ultra distance, a supply consisting of 1 piece of fruit, 1 gel and 1 energy bar.
In addition to this supply provided by the Organization, the athlete may carry other solid or liquid supplies, if he / she so desires.
All supplies will be transported by the athlete from the starting area and are the sole responsibility of the athlete, not being allowed to receive any other supplies along the course, with the exception of 1L of water delivered by the Organization to each athlete at km 14, 5 on Pinheiro da Cruz Beach and at 28.5 km on Comporta Beach.
On arrival at the finish, athletes have access to liquids and fruit..

Is there a course time limit?
The Ultra Marathon has 08 hours hours time limit, and the Atlantica 15Km 04:00 hours course will reopen to traffic once the competitors pace have passed.

Is the course closed to traffic?
No, runners are running all along the beach. To ensure your safety, volunteers and police officers will monitor the course.

What if I need to quit part way through the race?
If you feel that you will be unable to complete the ultra marathon and need to drop out, move to the right side of the beach and look for a course volunteer for assistance.

Are there any items that aren't allowed on the course?
For the safety of all Ultra Marathon or 15Km participants, no pets or wheeled conveyances including bikes, strollers, baby joggers or in-line skates are permitted on the course. As it’s not a closed course, and so you can hear directions given by race officials, please do not wear headphones during the race.
